MAIN was initially developed in early 2002 as a pilot project by Nigel Carden, then Headteacher at Beverley School, a specialist school for children and young people with Autism.

Nigel had recognised that young people with autism and their families needed dedicated support that was readily accessible whether families chose a mainstream path or decided their child would do better in a special school.

 

At MAIN the team includes parents & professionals who have each individually adapted to living with Autism in its various forms. The MAIN team have the skills, experience and motivation to offer first hand support and advice to people of all ages living with Autism.
