External Courses and Accreditation:
National Citizen Service
The National Citizen Service gives students the opportunity to meet new friends and to work on a project that is special to them. Their courses run during school holidays and involve four sections. The course starts with some time at an outdoor activity centre doing activities and exercises that help the group gel as a team. This is followed by a period where the students develop their skills. These skills are then put to use in a period of social action and this is followed by a graduation ceremony. We have had a number of students take part in the scheme who have found it a challenging, rewarding and highly beneficial experience. The NCS occasionally visit school to introduce students to the scheme.
