Throughout school our overriding concern in relation to ICT is ensuring that all students, at a level appropriate to their development, are aware of e-safety dangers and steps they can take to help keep themselves safe. Our curriculum is developing to accomodate more aspects of computing, in line with the recent government backed push on this.
In Stage Two, where appropriate, classes access lessons tailored around Cornerstone's ILPs which revolve around a different topic each term and are the basis for planning across subject areas. Where there are a lack of suitable areas of the ILP available for that term, alternative areas for study are identified. These will commonly include work towards Functional Skills ICT accreditation at Entry Level, which we intend to begin undertaking with selected groups of students in Stage Two.
At Stage Three students can opt to study towards a range of ICT related qualifications, from GCSE ICT (short course), to Graphic Design and Animation.
